Secret Project is Complete!

Secret Project is complete!

Over the summer I invited someone I met on the internet into my home.  I invited a complete stranger and her family to come and stay the weekend in my home. And they were wonderful!  If you missed it you can read about it here. http://fatcatcrochet.com/?m=200908

About that time CG asked me if I would make a blanket for her Eldest Twerp.  See ET will turn 12 real soon needed something that better reflected her tween personality.  CG saw a blanket she liked and asked me to use it for inspiration.  This is the result.  I really enjoy making something by request.  The person who makes the request usually knows how much time, energy and love go into the item.   It makes me incredibly proud to see the expression on their faces when they receive the completed project.

Happy Birthday ET!  Enjoy!

It is SO beautiful! Fantastic! How can you bare to part with your creations once you’ve completed them?
Thank you!! But really tt was never mine to begin with, it was always for ET. I thought about her with every stitch. I do that with every thing I make for someone else. It means a lot to me when someone requests something made with my hands.

I love it! Yes, there is something wonderful when you make something by request. I love the idea of squares too…that way you don’t get bored. Maybe my next (1st…frogged the first) Kidney Kozie should be squares.
Squares are to crocheters like socks are to knitters. They are small enough to go anywhere and everywhere. Cast on that Kidney Kozie square!
