Fat Cat….Knits

As long as no one tells me this is difficult to do I think I'll keep it up:)  Knitting I mean. I am having great fun with this Knitting thing.  I like the look of knitted items but I'll never give up Crochet.

I whipped this little number up in a couple days.

Theodora Sweater

If you don't look too close you won't see the mistakes and I covered up the wonky button holes.  I'm very pleased with this baby sweater actually.  I used a free pattern from Lion Brand called Theodora with some left over yarn from another project.

Soon I'll be ready to make a sweater of my own.  Already have the pattern & yarn picked out.   2908649314_049d7dfe28

It's called Brigitta by CocoKnits.

The pattern says it can be made in a weekend but I'm thinking it will take me a tad longer.  The baby sweater took me almost 5 days.  I'll take the pattern to Knit Night and read it through and ask questions of the more experienced knitters.  We'll see.

Thanks for posting this – I just queued up that sweater on Ravelry to make for DH’s coworkers who are having babies this spring! I like how it could go in a male or female direction just based on button placement and yarn choices!

  • Fun stuff. Hooked on this knitting thing, are you? It’s great seeing your progress. Love the swingy sweater with the purled detail at the cuffs. Excellent!!

I haven’t knitted in years. Makes me want to hunt my knitting needles.
