Spinning, spinning, spinning. That's what I did in my spare time all weekend and Man! Am I dizzy! Ha! I crack myself up!
"I'm so dizzy, my head is spinnin'"
*ahem* sorry.
Anyway, between sunning, boating, eating, napping, relaxing & visiting with Dad I've been participating in the Tour de Fleece. This was my first attempt at spinning. I call it Tooty-Fruity:)

It's a bit thick & thin and some would call it Art Yarn, I just think it's cool. Not much here, didn't measure it, maybe 6 or 8 yards. It's from some wool roving I recieved as a gift well over a year ago when I also recieved my Fat Cat Spindle.
With practice, pre drafting and some pointers from the Zombie Prom Date Knitters, I learned to control things a bit better and produced this.

Much more even! I took this off the spindle and started in on the Gale's Art Roving I bought at SAFF two years ago. It went from this...

to this...

to about 200 yards of this...

Not too shabby. I'm working on some very lovely Briar Rose Fibers now. Ooooo! Spins so nice and smooth!

I have 4oz of this color and another color. If my current spinning is any indication I should get about 400 yards from each color!
Wait a minute?!? This is your first attempt at spinning?
You are very good, and very productive.
Thank you! I did try spinning a couple years ago on my cousins wheel but this is my first attempt at drop spindle spinning:)

I’m so impressed!!! Glad you are having fun and WOW…quite nice work!
You are a maniac! I LOVE your spinning! Hence forth, you may call this the Tour de Awesome!
Linda, you are amazing!! Love the colors in the thick and thin sample, and the rest look so accomplished. Mad spinning skilz… add that to your resume.
A fellow drop spindle spinner! I’ve never even touched a spinning wheel – I’m afraid too, because I fear I’ll be addicted and I’ll never be able to afford one. You are getting so much done! I love all the colors!
