That’s what I’m going to change my blog name to:) because that’s how often and what I’ve been posting lately. Life is good but I just don’t seem to find the events fascinating enough to post about. Maybe I’ll go back and re-read some of my first posts and find out what I felt was so interesting that I felt the need to share it with the world.
Life is good. I’m knitting (that same damn sweater!) and crocheting. Working with wire & beads lately.
Bracelets whip up so easy in less than an hour. Hardest part is seeing the crimp beads and clasps!
Necklaces take a couple hours usually. Most of the time goes into the ‘design’. Trying (over thinking) to decide what order the beads should be strung in.
I’m not crazy about how the wire makes the wonky, random bends but that’s the nature of the beast and it does look a bit better on. I haven’t put the clasp on it yet so I can still tweak it some. I’ll have to read up on ’smoothing’ methods and see what I can do with it. And because I didn’t feel overjoyed about the wonky-ness I tried a beaded necklace on crochet thread.
I’m much happier with the drape of this one but I’m concerned that the thread will pick up oils from the skin. Right now I’m just happy to make things I like and possibly some as Christmas gifts. One or two people have suggested an ETSY shop. Yea I know, I could make some money. But then it would be more of a ‘Have To’ instead of a ‘Want To’. I don’t want to turn my hobby into a job. For now knitting, crocheting for my family & friends makes me happy. And I’m all about doing what makes me happy:)
