I never professed to be a writer so here are the events as truly as I can recall:)
It was pouring rain when my knit night friend Beverly picked me up Saturday morning at 8. We drove down to Atlanta’s Cobb Galleria Center for the annual Stitches South Expo. About two thirds of the way down we were wondering where we were going to meet Robyn, another knitting buddy when she pulls up alongside of us on I-85 South! We all waved wildly and Bev followed her the rest of the way. After parking and finding the first available Ladies Room we split up at the door and spent the next two hours scoping the place out. Wandering up & down the isles fondling and groping all the pretties while trying not to drool too much.We met up for a quick lunch and then back to do some serious shopping!!! There were buttons and bags of all kinds. Needles and hooks of all sizes. Books and patterns, beads and bobbles, shawl pins & jewelry. And YARN! Lots and lots of yarn! Now I’ve been to these Yarn Orgies before. So I went prepared. I checked my stash. Checked my patterns & needle/hook inventories. I went in armed with a List!
I picked out this beautiful Suri Alpaca to make this knit lace wrap pattern I’ve had in my queue for some time.

And for this beautiful sweater I picked out some Berroco Vintage in this sassy red.

To round out the day I picked up some tools & tips for my jewelry making experiments.

All in all, it wasn’t a bad day at all :D
